Hiring Unit:
Athletics & Recreation – Varsity

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Head Coach Redbird Basketball, this position will be responsible for assisting with the administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Basketball program. This will include the preparation for weekly responsibilities and delivery of specific tasks focused on the development of the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of prospective student-athletes
  • Administrative tasks such as coordination of travel planning and associated team business processes
  • Scouting opponents for the purpose of developing game plans – assessment of tendencies of opponent team/student-athletes
  • Individual student-athlete development, which includes technical, tactical, and strategic skills
  • Support Head Coach to operationalize the yearly training plan of the team.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience of basketball at a university level
  • Ability to communicate in both English and French
