The Seymour Team seeks a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to join our operations team. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees a variety of activities to insure plant equipment and facilities are in optimum operating condition. Designs and implements strategies to insure that facilities run smoothly and efficiently. Provide supervision of Maintenance Technicians for scheduling, training, performance, and discipline.

Essential responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor are:

• Direct, lead, and supervisor Maintenance Technicians – including training, planning, and scheduling, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving issues
• Provide leadership for the maintenance team. Leadership capabilities include mentoring, motivating, and coaching.
• Promote a safety-centered culture and ensure compliance within the workplace.
• Work with stakeholders to address issues and needs.
• Create, track, review, and maintain the maintenance budget
• Work with contractors and vendors for project and equipment quotes and scheduling work
• Oversee contractor’s work and ensure proper clean-up procedures are followed at close of projects
• Provide audit and inspection support
• Develop, maintain, and oversee the Preventative Maintenance Process & Schedule
• Lead the team in continuous improvement projects and support other area needs. Identify and implement cost savings, improvement, and safety measures to boost overall performance and proficiency
• JD Edwards entry and management of Maintenance Portal
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities (e.g., plumbing)
• Assign and prioritize work orders
• Ensure team members complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents accurately and timely
• Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment when maintenance technicians need assistance
• Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

Maintenance Supervisor qualifications/requirements include:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or Engineering degree highly desirable.
• 2 plus years of supervisory experience required. Supervising maintenance associates preferred.
• 5 plus year experience in maintenance or mechanics
• Flexibility to work after hours and some weekends and holidays if needed.
• Forklift, scissors, and aerial lift license within first week
• Coursework or certification in welding, electrical, boiler, HVAC, mechanical automation, or industrial electronics
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
• Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, eqipment manuals) to repair/maintain equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly to other departments and teams as necessary to drive alignment and visibility
