Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team!

$5,000 Bonus for Full Time!

Rehabilitation Hospital of the NW, located in Post Falls, ID, is a 30-bed facility providing inpatient rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties necessary for the operation of the food service department. Prepares food items and assembles prepared foods for patient trays, tray line assembly, delivers trays, may serve in the cafeteria. Responsible for clean up in kitchen and dining room, including dishwashing. Cashiering duties in cafeteria as needed. May accept delivery of dietary supplies, including inspection of products to insure freshness and accuracy of delivery. Also assists in the rotation of food stores and monitors food expiration dates.

Qualifications/Skills :

• High School Diploma or the equivalent in education or experience required.
• Patient-related service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications/Skills :

• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Per Federal Health Care Worker Vaccine Requirements, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption. Anyone hired by the company must provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccine before they can begin employment or request and be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption. Unvaccinated employees on an approved exemption must submit to weekly COVID-19 testing and wear a respirator at all times while in the facility. Some states and locations require increased frequency testing pursuant to state regulations.
