The Opportunity

The AGI Warehouse is in search of a new Assembler for our Horace, North Dakota location. The Assembler will report to AGI’s Portable Handling Products Group and will perform various types of skilled repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to assemble components into completed agriculture equipment and finished goods. The Assembler will also read drawings, schematics, and other specifications to ensure a quality product for our customers. Furthermore, the Assembler will assist with projects and other initiatives working independently but also with other departments to ensure production obligations are met. Superior communication skills, including active listening and a service-orientated approach will be key in delivering results for the warehouse operations.
The Team

The Assembler is based out of the Horace, ND warehouse and reports to the Branch Manager for Ag Growth’s Portable Grain Handling Products. This individual will work independently but also in a team environment.

The Assembler will collaborate closely with the Assembly Lead and other team members to meet the growing needs of our customers and promote best-in-class customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The Assembler will support the warehouse operations, including but not limited to the following:

  • Reads and follows blueprints, material lists, standards, and guidelines and follows established deadlines.
  • Assembles and measures products according to tolerances/specifications. Consults Branch Manager when variances occur.
  • Performs assembly-type functions using hand or power tools and utilizing stationary and overhead cranes.
  • Operates forklift as required. Receives materials, moves materials, and prepares shipment of materials to support the product delivery process.
  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
  • Keeps Branch Manager and/or Assembly Lead advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment according to 5S standards and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and makes necessary repairs.
  • Performs additional related duties as requested or required.

Qualifications

Candidates for the Assembler will:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Have 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or farm machinery assembly required
  • Have 1-3 years’ experience operating a forklift required; rough terrain forklift experience preferred.
  • Be mechanically inclined
  • Be able to read and follow a blueprint and tape measure
  • Possess mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Have superior communication skills, including active listening.
