Title: Field Service Representative
West Houston
Remuneration : $32 to $42 per hour
We are looking for Field Service Representative around Location Houston, Texas area to lead the client crew and direct communication with the customer during onsite maintenance work. The Field Service Representative will also be responsible for escalating and/or delegating technical and nontechnical issues to the support team for resolution. This position reports to the Field Service Manager, Client Compressor Service USA.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Troubleshoot reciprocating compressor mechanical failures as well as subsystems such as cooling, unloading, cylinder lubrication, and oil systems.
- Support client Engineering as the onsite representative during Root Cause Analysis for component failures.
- Support to customers technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Client and competitors reciprocating compressors and auxiliary systems.
- Technical resource for Outside/Inside Sales, purchasing, quality, and repair departments.
- Lead client field Service Crews and provide technical guidance to ensure client processes are followed, and quality goals are achieved project quality goals.
- Provide leadership and development to Field Service Mechanics, including but not limited to specific job tasking, on-the-job training, manage conflict on the job site, and function as the overall project quality/safety owner.
- Maintain safe working environment and maintain Client/Industry safety standards.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experiences:
- Must have 10 years of relevant knowledge and experience repairing and troubleshooting reciprocating compressors, preferred experience on broad range brands, including Dresser-Rand, Burkhart, or other reciprocating compressor brands (technical degree is beneficial).
- 5 years experience working maintenance in Refinery and/or petrochemical environments.
- Be able to read detailed manufacturing drawings and instruction manuals.
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls.
- Must have the required leadership skills to manage conflict within the Client crew assigned to your jobsite and maintain order and safety.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and accountable. The position requires accurate document control and report writing.
- Must be highly organized, able to multi-task, and manage project timelines and critical paths in order to control nonproductive/standby time.
- Support around-the-clock communication for active projects and emergency call-outs to support internal/external customer needs.
- Must be willing to assemble equipment in the shop or field.
Certificates, Licensees, Registrations:
Will need a passport for international travel.
Ability to attain TWIC card and possess a valid D.L.
Must be able to pass customer-required background and drug tests to access all customer facilities.
Hardware & Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Teams/Outlook.
Communication:
Fluently speak, write, and read English.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide technical communication in the form of service reports and status updates is required.
Travel Requirement and Work Schedule:
Position requires 100% travel to domestic and international customer sites and/client group affiliate locations.
