Employment Opportunity

TO Live’s Patron & Events Services department is currently accepting applications for the role of a “Food & Beverage Porter.” This is a part-time seasonal position for an experienced and outgoing team player who will deliver exceptional service in multiple food & beverage capacities. The position will be primarily at our Meridian Hall location. The major service component is the operation of all concessions and bars during public events.

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accept product deliveries and stock inventory rooms accurately
  • Maintain storage room of supplies in an orderly fashion.
  • Informs supervisor of any supplies required.
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory counts of food, supplies, equipment, and all food and beverage product in designated storage areas.
  • Prepare orders for required products and submit to manager on duty at the conclusion of each show/run of shows.
  • Assist in set-up and distribution of all food and beverage products required for concession/bar service on show nights and private/special events.
  • Keep accurate counts of all product that is distributed to all respective areas throughout the duration of all show/events.
  • Work with food and beverage supervisor and manager on duty to coordinate supply of products to the required areas during service times.
  • Anticipate product availability at each service point and work in coordination with concession staff and bartenders to deliver product to areas that require.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Smart Serve Certified.
  • Legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario.
  • Previous experience in a comparable food and beverage environment is preferred.
  • Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to count inventory.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds or greater.
  • Self-motivated and team player, display high initiative.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Self-motivated and team player.
  • Displays high initiative and requires minimal supervision.
  • Customer Service Skills.
  • Well-groomed, mannerly, co-operative and outwardly friendly (team-oriented).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexibility in hours and schedules and include work on nights and weekends as required
  • Lack of natural light in workplace
  • Travel between TO LIVE venues as required
  • Adhere to the TO Live Health & Safety policies and protocols including Covid vaccine and guidelines.
