Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for performing complex plumbing work and maintaining the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures. Provides assistance, technical guidance, and training to other employees in proper procedures and practices.
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience/Training:
- Five years of related experience.
Minimum Certification/Licenses:
- Journeyman license preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Daily – 30%: Performs complex plumbing work and maintains the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
- Other – 15%: Provides assistance, technical guidance, and training to other employees in proper procedures and practices according to the specific trade discipline applied to a project.
- Other – 15%: Troubleshoots and maintains electronic circuit boards on fixtures.
- Daily – 15%: Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; performs routine duties involving the repair and maintenance of tools, equipment, and accessories.
- Other – 10%: Picks up and delivers materials to job sites; unloads delivery trucks; operates forklifts and other equipment.
- Other – 10%: Maintains and provides for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in campus facilities.
- Other – 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.

- May assist or provide input to the supervisor on staffing, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling
- Ability to train and lead the work of other non-skilled, semi-skilled, and skilled staff

- Mastery skills in one or more trades
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle is required for some positions
