At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture, and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring, and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products, and surgical stabilization products.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing in-process and finished product inspections by way of visual and functional testing.
Job Details/Responsibilities
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Perform visual, functional, and dimensional testing using appropriate instruments (i.e., Instron, comparator, microscope, or other lab equipment) to ensure specifications are met. Also responsible for in process inspections.
3. Inspect lot numbers, expiration dates, product code numbers, labels, stamps, etc., in compliance with manufacturing orders and specifications.
4. Follow up regarding non-conformances (NCRs) to isolate suspect product.
5. Provide assistance to other Production and Quality Associates.
6. Assist in training production associates in regard to non-conformance issues.
7. Provide input regarding product and/or process improvements.
8. Maintain clean work area.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of production or inspection experience in medical device or similar regulated industry. Basic computer software skills, i.e., Microsoft Office. Two-year college degree in related science preferred. Experience in inspection methodology, lab inspection, process inspection, cleanroom environment, or QC preferred.
