Job Description Summary
Ensure the molding department produces high-quality, low-cost molded components for the assembly departments by performing inspections, setting and pulling molds, diagnosing and repairing problems, maintaining machines, and implementing continuous improvements. Ability to read, write and converse in English.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the Machine Attendant role, including component in process inspections, material handling, cleaning, and operating large equipment. Must maintain regular, punctual attendance. Must learn, understand and demonstrate proficiency in the requirements of the Processor position. Requirements include:
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with equipment, processes, and components.
- Monitor and maintain equipment safety devices.
- Monitor and maintain proper component quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor proper start-up and shutdown of the molding processes in the area.
- Coordinate and monitor the maintenance of system filters and Conair system.
- Maintain press/mold/auxiliary control to avoid damage at start-up.
- Perform pull/sets of mold tools.
- Set up and maintain granulators, conveyors, separators, mold temp control units, water temp control units, and scales for assigned machines.
- Perform required inspections, mold approvals, rejections, set up of gages and leak testing, etc.
- Responsible for accurate and timely production reporting.
- Assist mold mechanic in the assessment of mechanical mold press issues or electrical mold press issues and assist with repairs when needed.
- Perform and ensure completion of all PMs.
- Ensure all inspections are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with the completion of continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure supportive/accurate communication between the shifts.
- Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of wastewater and waste oil.
- Assist in training new personnel as requested.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: H.S, Diploma/GED
2. Experience and Knowledge
Type of experience: Minimum of 1 year
Fully describe the type of knowledge, skills, or abilities required: (e.g., tools, equipment, hardware, or software).
- Previous molding and/or inspection experience
- Experience with hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and MES.
3. Certifications
Must maintain certification on machines once attained
4. Supervisory Responsibility
No supervision of others
