Position Title: Rework Coordinator- C shift

Position Type: Regular – Full-Time

Position Location: Othello

Summary


Ensure identified product is brought into the packaging area and is reworked according to the status of each hold. All paperwork is filled out correctly and accurately with each hold that is reworked. All totes from the re-work are ticketed appropriately before leaving the staging area. All packaging monitor numbers are entered into the spreadsheet accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
  • Oversees all rework activity in the Packaging area.
  • Print out all correct documents from WMS for each hold.
  • Ensures that all rework paperwork is filled out correctly.
  • Performs the inventory adjustments in the WMS system.
  • Ensures tote tickets are properly completed and placed on each tote leaving the staging area.
  • Ensures that all license plates are correct for each hold.
  • Communicates with shipping in requesting identified products.
  • Coordinates rework for each day.
  • Performs warehouse moves on rework pallets and totes when necessary.
  • Ensures the packaging monitor is filled out hourly.
  • Assist tote room coordinator in balancing the tote room.
  • Communicates with tote room coordinator on hourly tote counts.
  • Communicates with control room to ensure hourly packaged pounds are accurate.
  • Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job-specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality process.
  • Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
  • Participates in continuous improvement process.
  • Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.
  • The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.

Scope of Authority

  • Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.
  • Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.
  • Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.
  • Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, and six (6) to twelve (12) months of related experience and/or training;

Language Skills


Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as WMS reports, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, reports, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability


Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved or oral instructions. Must be comfortable with dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a valid McCain Foods Forklift Operator’s License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risks of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
