As a tower climber, you will play a crucial part of Phoenix United’s growth and expansion in the US. As part of our training program, we will teach you how to install mounts using tools, technology, and other resources.
It is a challenging role, however, and it is not for the faint-hearted. We are looking for driven, diligent, loyal, and strong work ethic candidates. Applicants without these qualifications need not apply.
It is a high-demand industry, which means there is always work to be done. Hourly + Overtime work is available and necessary. We are in many NE + SE markets. The work we do impacts a wide range of industries, including Telecommunications, Green Energy, IT, Construction, Transportation, and Artificial Intelligence. Our work is vital to the global community.

From day one at the Phoenix United training center at our HQ (in Warminster, PA), we make you feel right at home and help you get started with all the things you need to start on your tower technician training. You will be given the opportunity to earn your first certifications, complete with learning all thesafety guidelines set forth by Federal, State, OSHA, and Phoenix United’s own regulations.
As a tower technician, you will be handling the following:
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Perform tower construction activities, including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
- Trained on how to: Read Plans, Site Plans and Tower Drawings.
- Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems.
- Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing, and mobilizing staff, materials to meet schedule.
- Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete the project.
- Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices, perform daily job-site safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.
- Work with Construction Supervisor and Tower Crew Lead to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials.
- Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays (dependent on project) and evening hours.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete all aspects of Phoenix United Safety & Tower Technician training classes.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
What you need to apply for the job:

- H.S. Diploma/GED preferred;
- 1.5 – 2 years of climbing experience
- Knowledge of standard knots and ability to read blueprints, details and specifications preferred
- Knowledge and ability to operate Test Equipment (i.e. RF sweep gear, PIM and Fiber testing preferred
- Domestic Travel – may be required depending upon the location in which the position is required to work
