Pick Truck Operator Career Opportunity!

Ashley HomeStore is currently seeking a Pick Truck Operator for our Mississauga Distribution Centre located at 333 Matheson Blvd West.

As a Pick Truck Operator, you will be responsible for general warehouse duties, including picking/placing products in and out of the racks as required.

As a Pick Truck Operator, you will:

Drive lift truck and performs proper checks to ensure safe working condition

Pick product from racking according to pick lists and ensures proper placement of product into racking

Assist with Customer pick-ups

Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules

Other tasks as assigned

As a successful candidate, you will have the following:

High School Diploma preferred or in process of completion

Previous warehouse experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions for use, directions, and safety manuals

Good verbal communication skills

Lift truck certification or ability to take and pass company’s certified training

Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs

Able to conduct physical work in warm and cold conditions

Flexible schedule requirements, including evenings and weekends

Operates various equipment (dock levelers, hand trucks, garbage baler, cardboard baler, forklift and lift truck etc)

Available to work overtime as required

Able to complete and pass WHMIS testing
