Duties

Serves as a Store Worker in one or more departments of the commissary store (e.g., grocery, produce, warehouse, etc.), performing a variety of duties involved in receiving, handling, marking, preparing, displaying, and maintaining the stock of resale items.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining adequate stock of resale items.
  • Identifying any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise.
  • Receiving supplies, equipment, and resale items.
  • Operating a computer system that calculates and marks prices and determines weights of merchandise.
  • Transporting items to shelving and display areas.

The Appropriated Fund Federal Wage System (FWS) salary table for the Rest of the U.S. (RUS) was used to identify the salary range appearing at the beginning of this announcement. Actual salaries depend on the location selected. Refer to Salary Tables to locate salaries for a specific location.
