Job Description

  • Review Filter report issues and ensure all issues are resolved in appropriate time frame.
  • Monitor arrival of “Manual” orders or “Take-Alls” and ensure that all are resolved as soon as possible.
  • Communicate issues as necessary to appropriate contacts in other departments, corporate office, and management.
  • Explain any perpetual inventory issues encountered to Manager and Allocations.
  • Ensure that any processing shortages are immediately researched and follow up with appropriate contacts.
  • Ensure that Analysts are working all items from the Analyst Checklist (to clear problem areas, problem reports, etc.) correctly and with required frequency.
  • Ensure that Cycle Count cycles are being worked in the most efficient manner and with required frequency.
  • Ensure that Internal audits are being performed correctly, without bias, and with required frequency.
  • Ensure that sufficient and correct error report data is being captured and address issues/trends with other Supervisors.
  • Ensure that all department data (for example: Performance Sheets, Cycle Count Totals, Error Reports, Internal Accuracy Audit Forms, Filter Report Issues, etc.) is being accurately keyed into department databases in a timely manner.
  • Review department reports generated by data entry to ensure accuracy of keying and data.
  • Distribute department reports (via hardcopy or email) to appropriate distribution.
  • Learn all EO procedures (for example: Cycle Count, Audit, and Discrepancy Fixing) and train and develop EOs skills in these areas.
  • Learn all advanced fix station options and inquiries required to adequately analyze inventory issues.
  • Learn functions of other departments involved in Inventory Movements and how to audit and fix errors.
  • Ensure the correct completion by EOs of all required paperwork and reporting.
  • Audit locations counted by EOs for accuracy and address any problems found.
  • Ensure that all problems encountered by EOs are fixed, whether encountered during tasking or incidentally.
  • Head department safety efforts:
    • Attend safety meetings.
    • Choose department safety committee members.
    • Prepare safety topics for department meetings.
    • Hold safety meetings with all staff each month.
    • Review and address employee concerns regarding safety.
    • Review problems with equipment brought up by EOs.
    • Complete iWarehouse and accident reports; reset alarms.
    • Perform new hire orientations.
  • Ensure department workforce is maximized through good attendance:
    • Review attendance each day.
    • Correct timecard issues through HR or Temp agency.
    • Track instances of time missed in department attendance database.
    • Address problems with employee attendance patterns within HR or Temp agency guidelines.
  • Address any EO conduct or performance issues within Skechers HR guidelines. Liaise with Temp agency regarding issues involving Temp agency staff.
    • Complete progressive counseling forms when warranted.
    • Conduct progressive counseling interviews when warranted.
    • Address concerns mentioned by staff with HR and Temp agency as warranted.
    • Address observations of employees from other departments violating safety or other procedures with appropriate Supervisor, HR, Temp agency, and/or Manager.
  • Liaise with HR/Temp agency and department upper management to ensure that department is fully staffed, including:
    • End temp assignments when warranted.
    • Complete job Requisitions to fill open positions.
    • Follow-up on open job reqs.
    • Complete transfer forms as necessary.
  • Provide regular and consistent feedback to employees regarding their performance in key department categories to help them maximize their effectiveness.
  • Complete employee evaluations as necessary (Introductory period, Annual, etc.) and conduct reviews.
  • Interview job candidates and make recommendations to upper management to fill positions.
  • Distribute department paychecks.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct department meetings as necessary.
  • Assist upper management in planning and execution of Physical Inventory.
  • Perform Cycle Counts on all types of locations.
  • Perform other Inventory Control duties as necessary.
