We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Residential team in Fort Saint John, BC. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be critical to our delivery of world-class customer service in our buildings that depict pride of ownership and respect for our residents. While following our Health and Safety requirements, our maintenance technicians ensure the safety of common areas, as well as troubleshoot and prioritize work orders and handle emergency situations
Responsibilities:
- Installation of floors, specifically vinyl and carpet
- Drywall repairs, painting prep and painting, minor electrical and plumbing repairs
- Perform water and sewer line repairs where applicable
- Assisting with and or performing suite renovations and other upgrades
- Moving furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies, including clearing of vacant suites as necessary
- Maintain clean vacant lots, and removal of garbage and debris from building and grounds as required
- Snow removal and ice control from all entrances/exits and walkways as required
- Delivery of notices to building residents & posting of notices in common areas where applicable required
- Resident services and assistance as required and maintaining good resident relations
- Other duties relating to upkeep of buildings and suites as assigned
Qualifications:
- Three years’ experience in building maintenance
- Work as part of an on-call team, and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and Criminal Record Check (free of relevant convictions)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
