Our Opportunity

We are currently looking for Materials Technicians for project work based in southern BC and surrounding areas. You will conduct a wide variety of laboratory and field testing on aggregate, soils, concrete, and asphalt and perform quality control and quality assurance management, compaction and monitoring. This role executes field testing activities and works primarily within a small crew to provide quality control management on small to medium-sized projects. You will collect, prepare and review field notes and related data to clients or direct supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience (New Grads with co-op/summer experience also welcome)
  • Experience and certification in the use of a nuclear densometer is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities
  • Technical competence and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts is required and willingness to work in remote sites for extended periods of time
  • A high level of dependability
  • A valid driver’s license is required
