Steamboat is looking for a Mountain Watch Lead to join there ranks in our SnowSports School. You will assist the team as a leader in teaching, training, and providing excellent guest service. Apply today!!
Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
- Communication with Flaik Developers and IT, troubleshooting system issues and concerns.
- Organize set up/teardown pre and post lessons.
- Leads Training Mountain Watch staff in Flaik and RTP systems.
- Prep & Issue Steamboat Mountain Watch tags for distribution.
- Providing SnowSports Supervisors with daily updates.
- Manage issuing, collecting charging of Flaik tags
- Scan students into classes.
- Monitor Steamboat Mountain Watch system and respond to phone calls.
- Assist teaching skiing/riding & SnowSports operations.
- Organize and clean areas associated with Mountain Watch.
- Support guest with excellent customer service
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
- Attendance at required orientation and training sessions.
Minimum skills, experience, education and ability for this job:
- Previous guest service employment experience required
- Must enjoy working with children and adults
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be able to multitask, follow directions, stay organized, and be aware of the needs of others
- Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English; Spanish language a plus
- Must be able to operate computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to lift 20 lbs on a regular basis (boxes, assist children)
- Must be able to walk on snow in variable winter conditions
- Ski/snowboard ability, preferred
Other Information:
- This is a hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay.
- Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed.
- Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat area base hourly pay rate: $20.00 per hour
