Full Job Description

Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, the Backroom Outfitter is responsible for accurately and effectively stocking merchandise to the sales floor and excess quantities in the stock room. This position supports back-room standards and takes ownership of the sales floor presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Receives and prepares merchandise for entry into retail or warehouse stock
• Accurately stocks merchandise to the sales floor in the proper home locations following fill procedures
• Assure visual presentation standards are met by up-keep and maintenance of back room and sales floor to include, but not limited to restock, re-merchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Perform replenishment tasks across departments, including filling, folding, repackaging, sorting, facing, hanging, and locating items
• Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management and the Team Lead

Qualifications:

• 6 months or more of warehouse experience is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Skill in operating various warehouse equipment, including pallet jack, hand lifts, and clothing carts
• Skill in operating various retail/office equipment, including RF system, tagging machine, and computer terminal
• Ability to be forklift certified
• Ability to obtain or current Firearms P.A.L. license
• Ability to use good judgment and logic
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products and procedures is an asset
