Full Job Description
In a nutshell
Title: Simulation Outreach Assistant
Role: This role would suit someone wanting to use their healthcare experience in a new way in order to create impact at scale. You’ll do this through building relationships with clients in the early stages of their journey with OMS and supporting our Educational Specialist team as they transition client interest into fully developed implementation plans.
Location: Pittsburgh/Ohio/surrounding areas. Fully remote
Days/week: Full Time
Salary: DoE + 38 days paid time off per year and employer-paid health insurance
The Who, What, Where, When & Why
You’ll help raise awareness about OMS, what we do, and the difference we can make by creating engaging and informative email campaigns. You’ll become an expert researcher in identifying simulation centers, hospitals, or learning institutions (and the emails of the key people within them who we might be able to support and help). When people contact us wanting to learn more, you’ll schedule and run ‘discovery calls’ with them where you’ll use your excellent relationship-building skills AND your personal experience of working in healthcare or education to empathize and understand their pains, as well as share what we do and effectively triage them to the right Educational Specialist if you think we can make a difference to them.
You’ll also be a key pillar of support to our lovely team of Educational Specialists. This could include the drafting of quotes and auditing HubSpot (our client relationship management system) as well as adding to it too.
Over time you’ll understand our customer journey and our product in-depth, and if you are keen, we can help you grow your career in sales or customer success or support.
No experience of VR is needed, and all your training is provided by a close-knit team of clinicians and simulation experts with the objective of building expertise in virtual reality, simulation-based education, and curriculum. The OMS Sales and Customer team is dedicated to delivering quality clinical training to healthcare professionals across the USA
Because of you, patients’ lives will be saved.
Who you are:
- You have experience in healthcare simulation or come from a healthcare background
- You have exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
- You have professional experience in sales or administration. Experience with Hubspot would be great (but not essential)
- You are enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work independently and stay motivated
- You have strong organizational skills
- Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed and work as an individual contributor as well as a team player
- New challenges don’t phase you, and you enjoy them
- You are not afraid of cold outreach, and you won’t take rejection personally
- You are keen to work in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment that is working towards saving lives and improving patient care
What will you be doing:
- Identifying, initiating, developing, and nurturing relationships and opportunities in market/target accounts to generate new business opportunities.
- Performing timely outbound communications to get the word out about the value OMS can bring.
- Detective work- Identifying key decision-makers, determining buying readiness and timelines.
- Capturing and managing information/data/metrics in Hubspot
- Supporting our Educational Specialists with a variety of tasks, including logistics and administrative support and sometimes very practical support with in-person demos on client sites
- Learning as you go (not just about the role but about the service OMS provides as well as how sales and customer success functions work)
