We provide challenging activities that encourage healthy living, personal growth, learning, and community involvement. We build self-esteem through supportive mentors and engaging activities that challenge and enrich the mind, body, and spirit of each child.

BGC Greater Saint John is currently seeking After School Educators. Successful candidates will join a team of Educators providing after-school programming at BGC. After School Educators will also work full-time hours on school holidays and closures, including Winter Break, March Break, and Summer Break. After School Educators will be responsible to organize, plan and implement a variety of fun and engaging activities for school age children.

Qualifications:

• College or other non-university certificate or diploma or 1 or 2 years or equivalent experience;
• Early Childhood Education Diploma is considered an asset;
• Prior experience working with school-age children in a group setting;
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills;
• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check and clear Social Development Background Check;
• 16-hour Workplace Standard First aid & CPR ‘C’ valid certificate. **

Part-time hours: During the school year: 20-30 per week, Monday – Friday, 1 pm-6 pm.

Full-time hours (seasonal): During the summer and: PD days, school breaks, up to 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

Expected start date: Immediately

Salary: $16.00/hour
