Airline Shuttle Van Driver

Position Objective:

Shuttle Van Drivers are responsible for transporting Airline Crew Members, such as Pilots and Flight Attendants, to and from Harry Reid International Airport and assigned hotels throughout the Las Vegas Area. Knowledge of the metropolitan area is preferred but not required.

Shifts: Mornings, Mid-days, and Nights. Huntleigh USA/LAS is a 24/7 operation!

Airport Shuttle Van Driver

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*

• Candidates must have a flexible schedule to work any days of the week and weekend (Mon-Fri and Sat-Sun), and any given shifts as needed.

• Ability to drive a shuttle van following a set schedule and route.
• Must gain familiarity with their route by studying maps if necessary.
• Must maintain contact with the on-duty dispatcher via tablet/radio and keep track of passenger pickups and drop-offs as necessary.
• Load and unload luggage.
• Passengers may have questions, drivers must respond in a polite and friendly manner.

The safety of passengers is the prime responsibility of shuttle drivers. At the beginning and end of their shift, they are to inspect their vehicle to ensure that it is functioning as designed. They must follow all traffic laws and posted speed limits. If they encounter any unsafe conditions, road hazards, or accidents, they report the problems to dispatch. If their vehicle develops mechanical difficulties, they document the problems and communicate needed repairs to dispatch. They must ensure that passengers and luggage are safely loaded and unloaded from their vehicles.

Requirements for this position:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and random tests throughout the time of employment. DOT does not allow the use of Marijuana.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean DMV 3-year record printout
• MUST have reliable transportation to work
• OVERTIME may be required without notice
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident or possess a valid work permit.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Huntleigh USA/LAS is a 24/7 operation!

• Ability to communicate clearly via radio
• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene
• Ability to work well independently and as a team member
• Have knowledge of the metropolitan area preferred
• Ability to think/work clearly in a fast-paced environment and make decisions while under pressure
• Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand English
• Have a clear and verifiable employment record
• Have the desire and ability to provide outstanding customer service on a continuous basis
• Have a working cell phone

Physical demands:

• Must be able to sit and drive a vehicle for a long period of time and be able to stay alert throughout your shift
• Must be able to Lift/Pull/Push up to 50 lbs
• May be subject to performing a Physical Agility testing

Salary:

$14.00 per hour PLUS TIPS!! Earn between $14.00 – $19.00 per hour with Tips!!
