Full Job Description

Under the direction of the Culinary Arts Manager, a Village Cook will work together with other kitchen staff to prepare culturally appropriate food for the campers. If you love cooking or want to learn a new skill while making friends from all over the world, join us this summer.

You Will:

• Assume full kitchen responsibilities in the absence of the Village Chef and Assistant Village Chef
• Carry out necessary tasks as requested by the Village chef
• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
• Assist with dining hall and kitchen cleanup and disposal of garbage
• Provide direction to and mentor the Kitchen Helpers

Minimum Qualifications

You Have:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Interest in preparing ethnic foods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with quantity cooking at a camp, resort, or public or private institution
• Oral proficiency in the target language
• Previous Concordia Language Villages or camping experience
